Located in the Chapel Ridge Shopping Center of Lee’s Summit, MO, Howdy Homemade Ice Cream is one of the first businesses in Kansas City dedicated to creating jobs for people with disabilities.

When you walk through our doors, you’ll be greeted with big smiles, amazing ice cream, and a team of passionate Heroes who love what they do. We believe everyone has something special to offer, and we’re on a mission to make sure the world sees it too.

A Proud Partnership with TNC Community

TNC Community is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a mission to champion equity and inclusion for individuals with disabilities, inspiring lives of dignity, belonging, and joy. With 77 years of experience, TNC Community is a premier service provider for individuals with IDD with customized services including from Residential and Supported Living, Community Connections programming, and most recently employment services.

Now, in a groundbreaking partnership with Howdy Homemade Ice Cream, TNC Community is taking its mission even further. Together, we’re reshaping perceptions of individuals with IDD while creating life-changing employment opportunities that offer equitable pay and career growth. Through this collaboration, we’re empowering Howdy Homemade Heroes with the skills, confidence, and support they need to succeed in the workforce.
